Halloween events in & around the Coachella Valley
Halloween is just around the corner, we made a list of some places residents can get their spook on in and around the Coachella Valley!
The Living Desert’s Howl-O-Ween
The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation’s Howl-O-Ween returns for another year at the Living Desert. The event takes place on Sunday Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The zoo will offer plenty of activities besides trick or treating, such as pumpkin bowling, face painting, monster maze, games and more.
On Oct. 29, Howl-O-Ween is free to members and with paid park admission. On Oct.31, the event is free for members and $10 for non-members.

CarnEVIL Haunted House at The River at Rancho Mirage
Parkwill Manor brings the scares with CarnEVIL Haunted House at The River at Rancho Mirage, beginning on Oct. 13 through Halloween. Hours for Wednesday, Thursdays and Sundays are 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays is from 7 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or online.

CVHS Chorus Club Haunted House
The Coachella Valley High School Chorus Club is hosting their annual Haunted House on Oct. 30, 31 and Nov. 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the high school’s auditorium. Tickets are $3 for kids (12 & under), $4 with ASB, $5 for those with out ASB and adults.
Palm Springs Art Museum Day of the Dead Celebrations
The Art Museum will be hosting its free Day of the Dead celebration on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palm Springs Art Museum. Also, on Friday, November 3, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert.
Attendees can enjoy live music, dance, museum tours, films, and other activities.

Desert Adventist Academy Fall Festival
Desert Adventist Academy in Palm Desert will have fun for the whole family with their Fall Festival. The event will be held at the school’s gym on Sunday Oct. 22 from 12:30 – 3:00 p.m. The festival will include games, prizes, face painting, a bounce house and more. All proceeds benefit classroom projects and school programs.

Palm Springs Air Museum’s Halloween Car Show & Chili Tasting
The 10th Annual Chili Tasting and Car Rally at the Palm Springs Air Museum takes place on Oct. 28. Admission is free for children 12 and under who wear a costume with a paying adult. The museum asks that no one wears a mask. The car show is included with admission and begins at 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Chili tasting is from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with chili tastes priced at $1 per tasting or six tastes for $5. All proceeds will be donated to the museum’s volunteer fund.

Samatronics Halloween Robotics Stage and Yard Show
Sam’s Cycle Services in Rancho Mirage is hosting a free Halloween animatronics show from Oct. 27 – 31. Attendees can also enjoy live music, dancing and face-painting. Donations can also be made at the event to “Kids Create Peace,” a local non-profit committed providing children with guidance and encouragement. More information on KCP can be found here.

Happy Health Halloween
The Happy Healthy Halloween returns on Saturday Oct. 28. It will take place at Mission Springs Park in Desert Hot Springs from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. The event includes a costume contest, spooky themed car show, pumpkin patch hunt, facing painting and more.

Nightmare in Palm Springs
The Bank in Palm Springs will be hosting Nightmare on Oct. 21, where attendees can get on their dancing shoes at this costume party. Tickets range from $25 – $99.
The 21 and over event is expected to sell out, organizers recommend buying tickets in advance. A portion of the proceeds will directly benefit the Desi Strong Foundation.

Halloween Spooktacular
Brightwood College in Palm Springs is hosting their Halloween Spooktacular on Saturday Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the campus. The public is welcomed to attend the free event which will feature trick-or-treating, a tour of the campus and giveaways.

Palm Springs Library Annual Halloween Party
This year’s Palm Springs Public Library’s Annual Howlin’ Halloween Event and Party will have some special guests. Mr. Peanut and the Planters Nut Mobile along with master storyteller Ken Frawley will be there. The free event will be held on Oct. 25 at 6:00 p.m. and will include a costume parade and trick-or-treating inside the library.

Desert Rock Development Haunted House
Desert Rock Development and Statewide Services Inc. will host a haunted house and costume party on Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. Their event will include free food and drinks, along with live music and plenty of fun for all ages. Beaumont annual Monster Mash Halloween Party
The Halloween event is hosted by the City of Beaumont and the Beaumont Library District. he event takes place on Saturday Oct. 21 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Albert A. Chatigny Sr. Community Recreation Center, located at 1310 Oak Valley Parkway. The event will include a costume contest, free games, in-door trick or treating and food available for purchase.
