Deputies called after Chihuahua shot and killed

Deputies from the Morongo Basin Station are searching for a suspect responsible in the shooting death of a pet Chihuahua in Yucca Valley.

On Friday, at around 10:17 p.m., deputies responded to a residence on the 7500 block of Cibola Trail. They learned that the homeowner’s Chihuahua was shot with a pellet gun, and died from the injury.

Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station at (760) 366-4175.
