Dodger fans choose between World Series or Halloween
Tonight is a big night for kids and adults. Game Six of the World Series kicks off on Halloween night.
Dodger fans with children have a difficult decision to make, do they go trick-or-treating or watch the ballgame.
JR Corrales has been a Dodger fan his whole life.
“We’ve waited for so long for this to happen and it’s here, but its anxiety level times ten cause they’re down and I just want this day to be over with,” Corrales said. “I want to wake up tomorrow morning and there’s going to be a game 7.”
Corrales also has three little ones eager to dress up and collect some candy.
“We kind of want to beat the crowd and not let it be too crazy and well go out trick or treating and be back in time for the 7th inning or so,” Corrales said.
But Corrales thinks the game falling on Halloween will actually work out.
“As a fan, the anxiety level is so high that it’s almost good that there’s an excuse for us to go out and miss a little bit of the game,” Corrales said.
Burgers & Beer in Rancho Mirage said the World Series has been amazing for their business.
“Its been amazing, we have a lot of Dodger fans, the staff are Dodger fans, and the atmosphere has been amazing,” said Dawn Wagner, assistant manager at Burgers & Beer.
And the staff thinks tonight will be no exception.
“It’s going to be a mix of the Halloween Dodger theme going on,” Wagner said.
