3.5 magnitude earthquake strikes near Anza

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake struck near Anza Thursday afternoon.

The earthquake was recorded at 4:23 pm, about 17 miles south-southwest of La Quinta, and just north of the Riverside-San Diego county line, according to the United States Geological Survey.

According to the United States Geological Survey, this is the third earthquake to strike near that area in the past two days. Wednesday night, there was a 3.1 magnitude at 7:30 pm and a 2.7 magnitude a little after 8:30 pm.

There have been no reports of injuries or structural damage.

Residents in several valley cities reported feeling the earthquake.
