Beaumont man arrested following search warrant

A Beaumont man was arrested Thursday following a search warrant issued by the San Gorgonio Special Operations Gang Task Force.

It happened at 2 p.m. in the 400 block of Olive Avenue in Beaumont. The search warrant was issued for 25-year old Thomas Chapparosa for a theft investigation that occurred in October.

Officers recovered the stolen items along with a 9mm Sten submachine gun and various types of ammunition.

Chapparosa, was arrested and booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning for possession of an authorized weapon and committing a crime while out on bail.

He is being held on $45,000 bail.
