Palm Desert High School presented with $10,000 from local Best Buy store

The manager of the Palm Desert Best Buy store presented a $10,000 check to Palm Desert High School Thursday.

The Palm Desert store had won a contest from Intel and was presented the money, giving the store the choice of what educational entity they wanted to donate the money too.

The store chose Palm Desert High School.

The Desert Sands Unified School District said at least some of the money will be used to fund the Engineering Pathway program.
