The Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force Palm Springs team conducted a drug raid at a Palm Springs home Saturday. The raid comes following a report Friday night on KESQ and CBS Local 2.

Authorities were at the home on Amelia Way Saturday afternoon, near Sunrise Way and Racquet Club Road. Authorities confiscated around 390 marijuana plants and about $1,200 in the illegal indoor marijuana grow.

Authorities arrested 40-year-old Yong Li from Los Angeles at the home. Li was taken and booked into the county jail in Banning for illegal marijuana cultivation.

Witnesses in the neighborhood said the house was wall-to-wall with marijuana plants.

“The house was completely dark at night. There wasn’t a light on at the front porch. The only activity you would see is a white van pull into the garage and then the garage door shut,” said a neighbor.

They also said an electric meter near the home appeared to have been tampered with.

This raid comes a report by KESQ’s and CBS Local 2’s Joe Galli, where neighbors reached out with concerns about a possible illegal cannabis grow at the home.
