3 trailers destroyed in Salton Sea Beach fire
Firefighters battled a fire that broke out Tuesday morning in Salton Sea Beach.
Crews responded to the Judy Avenue, just north of Highway 86 shortly before 9 a.m.
45 firefighters were on scene, as the fire destroyed 3 trailers, 2 of which were unoccupied.
A homeowner told our crew that his two parakeets died in the fire, but his dog was saved.
He also said that he is huge a collector of Star Trek memorabilia but all his items and his car were destroyed.
No word on what caused the fire.
A GoFundMe page has been created for Ranee Lopez, a neighbor whose home was also destroyed by the fire.
