Big rig wreck blocks I-10 in Blythe
All lanes of Interstate 10 westbound were blocked in Blythe Wednesday morning following a fatality collision involving three big rigs.
Police and firefighters were responding to the wreck, reported in the westbound lanes at 8:17 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig Alert and said westbound traffic was being detoured off the freeway at Neighbors Boulevard and then back on the freeway at Mesa Drive.
There was no immediate word on the fatality.
Two lanes were opened as of 1:20 p.m.
Eastbound freeway traffic was not impacted by the collision.
