Moreno Valley shooting victim discovered in Palm Springs

Riverside County Sheriffs Deputies were investigating an overnight shooting that sent one person to a hospital.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred in Moreno Valley, but the apparent victim was discovered miles away in Palm Springs near Indian Canyon Drive and Interstate 10 shortly after midnight.

The injured person was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs for treatment.

Police provided no word on their condition.

Riverside County Sheriff’s Department issued this statement:

At approximately 1:15 am, Moreno Valley PD did receive information from PSPD regarding a male adult who reported being shot at an known location within the city of Moreno Valley. This is an active investigation and Detectives are attempting to determine if and where this incident occurred in Moreno Valley.
