SafeHouse of the Desert receives generous donation
Officials with SafeHouse of the Desert are thanking the community for its generous donations.
Kristen Dolan, of SafeHouse of the Desert, said that after our KESQ/CBS Local 2’s story aired last week, a viewer called and donated the three roll-away beds the shelter needed just in time for the holiday season, its busiest time of year.
SafeHouse of the Desert, in Thousand Palms, is an immediate help to youth and families in crisis situations.
The organization is also equipped to handle runaway, homeless and other kids in need. The shelter said it recently has had an influx of clients.
SafeHouse now have all the beds it needs, but more donations are welcomed.
