Palm Desert burglary suspect arrested
A burglary suspect was taken into custody and facing burglary and conspiracy charges following a commercial burglary.
The Riverside County Sheriffs Department said Mark McGowan, 47, of Palm Desert was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio Sunday afternoon.
Palm Desert Police Officers responded to a business alarm Sunday morning at about 4:30 a.m., located in the 34000 block of Monterey Avenue.
Investigators determined the suspect had gained access to the business by cutting a hole through the wall of a neighboring business.
McGowan was identified as a suspect and located at a Palm Desert home on the 42700 block of Wisconsin Avenue.
A search warrant was served there. Deputies said they recovered stolen property related to the burglary.
McGowan was released from jail the same day after posting $10,000 bail. He was scheduled to be in court January 23, 2018.
