Coachella burglary and assault suspects arrested
A man was arrested Thursday morning, suspected in a burglary and assault with a firearm in Coachella earlier this year.
24-year-old Christopher Reyes was identified as the suspect in the crime that occurred on July 9 at a residence on the 48-100 block of La Playa Street in Coachella.
On Thursday, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department in Thermal and Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau served a search warrant at the 30-600 block of Monte Vista Way in Thousand Palms.
A number of viewers called into our newsroom saying a helicopter and a number of police personnel were seen in the Monte Vista Way area.
Reyes was booked into the Indio jail, for attempted murder, robbery, burglary and committing a felony while on bail.
Deputies also arrested Bianca Leal, 22, for accessory, for her involvement in the case.
