Pedestrian hospitalized after Coachella collision
Coachella Police were investigating a collision that left a pedestrian injured late Monday night.
The man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Harrison Street and Avenue 52 at approximately 10:40 p.m.
Police officers say they found a man laying on the ground with injuries.
He was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.
The vehicle’s driver stopped and was cooperating with police.
Investigators said neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the collision, which briefly shut down a stretch of Harrison Street.
