Pearl Harbor attack remembered on 76th Anniversary
Thursday marked the 76th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack to caused the United States to enter World War II. The day was referred by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 as a “date which will live in infamy”. People are remembering the sacrifice of the servicemen that day.
2,402 Americans were killed in the surprise attack by the Japanese that targeted the Pacific Fleet of the U.S. Navy.
The Palm Springs Air Museum has a number of artifacts related to Pearl Harbor as well as warplanes from that era.
