Man arrested for alleged string of burglaries in Palm Desert

A man who allegedly burglarized multiple Palm Desert homes while free on bail was arrested Friday.

Marshall Karlquist, 27, of La Quinta is accused of burglarizing homes in the 76500 block of Country Club Drive in October and November.

Sheriff’s deputies did not disclose the number of homes Karlquist is alleged to have burglarized.

Court records show that he was also arrested in October for suspicion of burglary, but made bail and has not yet been charged in that case.

Karlquist was taken into custody at around 5 p.m. Thursday and was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio, where he was being held on $55,000 bail.
