Cathedral City’s first annual ‘Snow Fest’ a hit

It was the first of what is hoped to be an annual tradition in downtown Cathedral City Saturday night.

Many people came out for the inaugural ‘Snow-Fest.’ It started with a light-parade and was followed by a tree-lighting ceremony. There was food and vendors galore. Santa Claus made and appearance, and there were even live performances by the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, the Cathedral ity High School Choir and the Cathedral City Dance Program- just to name a few.

The illusion of a winter wonderland filled many in attendance with the holiday spirit.

“Merry Christmas and a happy new year,” exclaimed Reyna Rocha, who was there with her family.

The festival was free for attendees and included a movie ticket to see ‘The Polar Express’ at the Mary Pickford Theater.
