Indian Wells Tennis Garden undergoes beautification project

The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is undergoing a full-scale beautification project ahead of the 2018 BNP Paribas Open.

The tennis event held on March 5-18, 2018, will feature tournament’s brand-new “Full Bloom” marketing campaign.

The project will add 62 palm trees throughout the grounds, including a grove between the two main shade structures; a row in the Food Village; and a circle of trees outside of retail area.

Additional floral installations, pavers, plants and greenery throughout the Tennis Garden will bring color and vibrancy to the venue, reminiscent of a garden blooming to life in the springtime.

“Year after year, we strive to continually improve and enhance the overall fan experience at the tournament,” Haas said. “This year, we are focusing on what makes our event unique – the unparalleled beauty and scenery of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Our team cannot wait to welcome tennis fans from around the world to Tennis Paradise and showcase the physical beauty and majesty of the venue in “Full Bloom” like never before. We believe that coupled with the extensive renovations and world-class dining amenities added prior to the 2017 event, tennis fans won’t be able to find a more enjoyable experience anywhere in the world.”

New additions include two fountains that will be a place for gather and relax while taking a break from shopping, eating or watching tennis.

Inside Stadium 1, the video walls on the north and south ends of the court will be replaced and upgraded with bigger screens.

Wally’s Desert Turtle will be replacing Chop House in Stadium 2.
