Two burglary suspects arrested in La Quinta
Update: Two burglary suspects are now behind bars. Christian Espinoza, 22, and a 17-year-old male were arrested.
Deputies said they recovered numerous items stolen from the residence including a stolen vehicle, taken from the residence by suspects. The juvenile had an active no bail warrant for shooting a firearm at an inhabited dwelling and was booked at the juvenile hall facility in Indio.
Espinoza was booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio for burglary, possession of stolen property and automobile theft.
Original: Authorities were in search of two burglary suspect Friday in the area near the Citrus Club in La Quinta.
According to Deputy Mike Vazquez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a chase for two suspects started around 12:30 p.m. at Washington Street and Avenue 50.
One suspect was detained, as deputies searched the area for the second suspect before ultimately detaining the individual around 1:45 p.m.

Harry S. Truman Elementary and La Quinta Middle School was placed on lockdown for about an hour.
