Fuel spill in Desert Center

Hazmat crews are cleaning up a fuel spill after a truck caught on fire in Desert Center.

Cal Fire said the truck caught fire on the eastbound side of I-10 just east of Eagle Mountain Road at 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

California Highway Patrol said several thousand gallons of fuel spilled. No injuries were reported.

Two lanes were closed for about an hour, but how the vehicle caught on fire is not known at this time.
