California recreational pot sales begin Monday

Recreational marijuana sales will be legal throughout California Monday, January 1, 2018.

This comes after the passing of Proposition 64 in November 2016, which legalized recreational marijuana use across the state.

This past year, state leaders have worked to set up regulations and licensing for businesses wanting to sell adult-use and/or medicinal marijuana in 2018.
