Parker Palm Springs chefs share behind-the-scenes look at Film Fest After Party

After the glitz and glam of the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala it’s time to let loose at the after-party. Once again the stars will flock to Parker Palm Springs to tear up the dance floor and snack on some tasty treats.

Executive Chef Herve Glin and pastry chef Chantal Carter are in charge of one of the most important things, the food.

“It’s essential to know the vision of the people that are putting it on. So we can collaborate and make something really special,” Carter said.

Chef Glin shows us one of the items he’s serving up, adding an Asian twist to this year’s menu.

“I just came back from Asia and I have some Asian dishes that I put in and what I see. And I’ve fallen in love with Spain and tapas, and we can be a little more creative,” Glin said.

Carter is using this year’s festival poster as inspiration for some of her treats.

“We’ve got some fun French macarons here and they are bright pink with some sprinkles. We have a sunny, citrusy, buttercream filling. We’re going to do a lot of small bites and things that are easy to carry around with you,” Carter said.

Both chefs agree this is one of the hotel’s most highly anticipated events.
