UPDATE: One killed in Desert Hot Springs motorcycle crash
Authorities are investigating a collision that left one person dead Friday morning in Desert Hot Springs.
Cal Fire, Riverside County firefighters said they responded to a traffic collision just at 7:41 a.m. It involved a motorcycle and a truck on Dillon Road, just east of Mountain View Road. They confirmed one person died at the scene.
The Riverside County Coroner’s office identified the victim as 30-year-old Joseph Christopher Garza, from Desert Hot Springs.
California Highway Patrol is investigating the deadly collision.
A traffic lane was closed on Dillion Road between Mountain View Road and Long Canyon Road, but vehicles were being escorted through.
