Man arrested for fighting with Yucca Valley High School students

A 46 year old man was arrested Friday afternoon following a fight involving students from Yucca Valley High School.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to a stabbing at the high school. Deputies contacted three students who had gotten into a fight with an adult male, who they later identified as Heriberto Pena.

The victims and witness said Pena had a knife in his hand while he was punching one of the students. None of the students had any major injuries.

Pena was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at his home, and later released on bail bond.

San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department is asking for anyone information to contact them at (760) 366-4175. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous may contact We-Tip at 1-888-78-CRIME.
