2018 CareerBuilder Challenge Final Player Field

Here is the roster of 156 golfers comprising the final field for next week’s PGA TOUR CareerBuilder Challenge, the year’s first PGA TOUR event in the mainland U.S. and the PGA TOUR’s first event of its West Coast swing. The tournament will be held in La Quinta, Calif. – at the Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament Courses at PGA WEST and La Quinta Country Club – from Jan. 18-21. Some of the notable players in this year’s field are:

— CareerBuilder Challenge tournament ambassador Phil Mickelson, the World Golf Hall of Famer who counts the 2002 and 2004 CareerBuilder Challenge, 2004, 2006 and 2010 Masters, 2005 PGA Championship and 2013 Open Championship among his 42 PGA TOUR wins.

— 2012 and 2014 Masters champion Bubba Watson.

— World No. 3 Jon Rahm.

— 2014 CareerBuilder Challenge champion and U.S. Ryder Cup/Presidents Cup star Patrick Reed.

— 2010 and 2015 CareerBuilder Challenge winner and 2011 PGA TOUR FedExCup champion Bill Haas.

— CareerBuilder Challenge sponsor exemption John Daly, the two-time major champion (1991 PGA Championship, 1995 Open Championship) and PGA TOUR Champions golfer.

— Palm Desert High School senior Charlie Reiter, the only amateur among the pro field and committed to play golf at USC. Reiter made the cut in his first pro event – the Emeritus Australian Open – in November 2017 .
