Agua Caliente Cultural Museum presents Singing the Birds

The Agua Caliente Cultural Museum presented the annual Singing the Birds at Palm Springs High School Saturday.

The event celebrates traditional Native Bird Singing and Dancing.

Bird Songs are thousands of years old. Saturday, the Cahuilla sung their songs reminding themselves of the connection to the land.

Tribe officials also say the songs tell stories of their combined experience as a people, from creation to migration and beyond.

Michael Mirelez served as the event’s emcee.
