Palm Springs Police rescue 67-year old hiker

Palm Springs Police Department rescued a 67-year old hiker just after 10 a.m. this morning according to Sgt. William Hutchinson. The man began his hike behind the Palm Springs Art Museum on Skyline trail. Police received a hiker in distress call just before 4 a.m. this morning.

The man was rescued via helicopter and transported to a local hospital. He was suffering from dehydration at the time of the rescue.
