Journey to the CWL: The Jacob Wark Story

It’s been an amazing journey to the California Winter League for 26-year-old Jacob Wark from Tualatin, Oregon. After a great high school career in both football and baseball, Wark decided to take a full scholarship to Cal-Berkeley where he would play both sports from 2010-2014. It was a big decision to make as he was also drafted out of high school by the Atlanta Braves in the 38th round. After graduating from Berkeley in 2014, he had one year left of football eligibility so Wark decided to play at his childhood dream school of Oregon State under at the time Head Coach Mike Riley. After a mini camp with the 49ers and a chase at a CFL contract, he decided to chase his real dream of playing baseball. Now after a successful winter in the CWL, he was signed to play professional ball with the Lincoln Saltdogs in May.
