Embezzlement investigation underway at Desert Hot Springs High School
An embezzlement investigation is currently underway at Desert Hot Springs High School according to a Palm Springs Unified School District statement sent to KESQ & CBS Local 2.
“PSUSD officials have confirmed that the Desert Hot Springs Police Department is actively investigating possible embezzlement of a school fund at Desert Hot Springs High School,” stated PSUSD Spokesperson Joan Boiko. “The District could not provide any additional information at this time due to this being an active investigation. More information will be provided once the investigation is complete and a decision is made on what, if any, charges may be filed by the District Attorney’s office.”
The embezzlement investigation was confirmed after KESQ & CBS Local 2 reached out to the district after receiving a tip that a Desert Hot Springs High School employee was under investigation for embezzlement.
KESQ & CBS Local 2 reached out to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department (DHSPD) for more clarification and for the identity of the employee in question.
