Man shot in Desert Hot Springs, suspect has not been identified

One man was shot twice in Desert Hot Springs last night in the 66100 block of First Street according to Desert Hot Springs Public Information Officer, Doria Wilms.

Officers arrived on the scene around 9:50 p.m. last night after a call of multiple shots fired. The man was taken to the hospital. His current condition in unknown.

We’re told the victim was approaching his vehicle when the shooting happened. Multiple bullet holes were found on the car. The orange lines outline where that car was parked.

We’re told a suspect has not been identified as of 7 a.m. Thursday morning. Officers are continuing their investigation. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
