Yucca Valley man arrested for sex with a minor

A Yucca Valley man has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with a minor. On Feb. 27 at 9:30 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station responded to a report of a disturbance on the 57400 block of Primrose Drive in Yucca Valley. When they arrived on the scene, they found 27-year-old Steven Lee Houser and a 16-year-old minor inside a motel room.

After an investigation, Deputy S. Crowl discovered that Houser and the minor victim were engaged in an intimate relationship consisting of “sexual intercourse, sodomy, and oral copulation,” according to the Sheriff’s Department news release.

Houser was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He is being held on $50,000 bail.
