Traffic rerouted due to police activity in Cathedral City

Drivers are being turned away at the Date Palm bridge at Perez in Cathedral City due to police activity.

Date Palm Drive is closed between Perez to Gerald Ford due to a traffic collision involving two vehicles which hit each other head-on.

Officials say two people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
