Structure fire reported in Desert Hot Springs

A structure fire has been reported on the 66300 block of Acoma Ave in Desert Hot Springs. Cal Fire is currently on the scene. The fire was first reported at 9:30 a.m. this morning.

Two people were in the residence when the fire broke out and both escaped. One person has been sent to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

The fire is considered to be minor. A section of the living room caught fire and was contained. Fire damage was not immediately apparent from the street.
