Valley Residents Win Tickets to After Oscar Show

An early morning bus ride for 29 lucky Coachella Valley residents who traveled to Hollywood Monday morning for the LIVE! with Kelly and Ryan After Oscar Show at the Dolby Theatre.

With just hours in-between, the 90th Academy Awards wrapped up and KESQ Fun Bus contest winners filed in to sit in the same seats as the stars. This opportunity allows for a close encounter with the production of live television and a chance to see their favorite celebrities in person.

Maureen Jorgensen, a KESQ Fun Bus contest winner, rejoiced, “I watch Kelly and Ryan on a regular basis and it was fantastic seeing them in person. I’d hate to say a bucket list but it’s a dream come true seeing them live and in person.”

“It is wonderful to watch it on TV and then go see it in person and just the electric atmosphere of the Kelly and Ryan program,” says Bob Copes, a 2x After Oscar Show attendee.

The 7th LIVE! After Oscar Show included a performance by MAX and an interview with the recipient of the “Best Supporting Actress” Oscar, Allison Janney.

“I’ve never been to a live show before so it was all exciting but I loved seeing Allison Janney with the Oscar and how emotional she got. I thought that was great. She was funny. I really enjoyed the whole thing,” shared Stephanie Shoemaker, a KESQ Fun Bus Contest Winner.

KESQ’s Haley Clawson asked the LIVE! co-hosts who they felt was the most deserving of their award.

Ryan Seacrest recalled, “We just talked to Allison Janney and she’s so genuinely excited! It’s the first time she’s ever been here and she was a winner.” “…and all of her work is so good so I’m really happy for her,” added Kelly Ripa.
