Vacation rental supporters launch campaign to reject ban

A group of Palm Springs residents and business leaders launches a campaign to reject the vacation rental ban and save Palm Springs tourism.

The “We Love Palm Springs – No on Measure C” campaign was introduced in response to the Palm Springs City Council placing a vacation rental ban on the June 5 preliminary ballot.

Over a dozen people gathered to support the new campaign.

“We have one of the stricter rental ordinances in the country. It’s is being enforced it is working,” said Bruce Horban, co-founder of Vacation Rental Owners and Neighbors of Palm Springs. “This town is based on tourism and tourists and we need those tourist and the city needs those funds from the tourists.”

Voters will make their voices heard during the special election coming up on June 5.
