Jury selection continues for Indio man accused of child sexual abuse

Jury selection continues in the case of an Indio man accused of sexually abusing two children he lived with according to John Hall of the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.

In October of 2015, Pastor Galvez Majano pled not guilty on five counts of committing three or more lewd acts with a child under the age of 14, willful child cruelty, and inflicting an injury on a child under 10.When the alleged crimes were committed, Majano was 39, and the two children, a girl and a boy, were 8 and 2 respectively.

The alleged abuse took place from June to early November 2013 when Majano was living with the two children and his girlfriend in a studio apartment in Indio.

The jury selection process is taking place at Dept. 2J of Larson Justice Center in Indio.
