Man dead after altercation in Thermal identified

Riverside County Coroner’s office identifies the man found dead following a family altercation in Thermal.

Monday morning, deputies found Alejandro Rodriguez being restrained by family members while responding to a family disturbance call at a home in the 65000 block of Harrison Street.

Rodriguez was taken to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries he sustained “prior to the family altercation,” Sgt. Ben Ramirez said.

Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the hospital an hour later, the coroner’s office confirmed.

Anyone with information was asked to call Investigator Bloomquist from the Thermal sheriff’s station at (760) 863-8990 or Investigator Gomez from the Central Homicide Unit at (951) 955-2777.
