Involved in a car accident with an uninsured driver? CBS Local 2 Stands for You

Would it surprise you to know that at least 15 percent of drivers on California roads are driving without insurance?

In fact, chances are, you or someone you know, have been involved in a car accident with one of these uninsured drivers.

But the question is, what do you do when your car is struck by someone driving without insurance?

Should you call police? Contact your insurance company? Sue the other driver?

CBS Local 2’s Tom Tucker is working on a special report focused on the problems and costs associated with uninsured drivers, and we would like to talk with you, if you’ve been hit by one of these motorists.

If you have experience with this, and if you’re willing to share your story on camera, please let us know in the comments below.

We’d like to tell your story in our report, aimed at informing all drivers on what they need to know, including what they must do, should they find themselves in a similar situation.
