Missing Desert Hot Springs woman found safe after a day missing

A Desert Hot Springs woman who disappeared from her home has been safely located, police said today.

Evelis Alfaro, 60, was last seen around 11 p.m. Monday at her residence in the 11500 block of Cactus Drive.

Desert Hot Springs police circulated her photograph and description Tuesday afternoon, then reported on Wednesday morning that she’d been found.

The circumstances of her disappearance and safe return were not disclosed.
