Palm Springs restaurant broken into, robbed of safe, iPads

A Palm Springs restaurant is open today despite a brutal break-in overnight that left the front door shattered and considerable property damage in its wake.

“It was an actual break in with theft,” says Chad Gardner, the owner of 533 Viet Fusion. “They stole our actual safe right out of our office, our POS iPads (iPads used for sale purposes) and cash. Not to mention they messed the place up a bit. But we are open today in spite of all that.”

The restaurant is located at 1775 E Palm Canyon Dr, Suite 625 in Palm Springs.

“The only info I have is that unknown suspect(s) smashed out the window to the business and took property,” said Palm Springs Police Department Sergeant William Hutchinson.
