Police arrest Palm Springs High student for making school threat
A 15-year-old Palm Springs High school student was taken into custody on suspicion of Criminal Threats, according to a PSPD news release.
PSPD received information from Palm Springs High officials on Monday relating to a criminal threat issued to the school via email. The message specifically targeted Palm Springs High students and staff.
The Palm Springs Police Department Investigations Bureau identified the 15-year-old suspect during the investigation. The investigators obtained a search warrant for the student’s place of residence and the warrant was served on Monday. After the warrant service, the student was taken into custody.

No firearms were located in the residence during the warrant service or investigation.
The student was booked into the Indio Juvenile Hall on suspicion of criminal threats. The identity of the student has not been released.
