Cathedral City’s LGBT week continues with annual Bed Race

Cathedral City continued its LGBT days with one of the most exciting events of the weekend — the annual Bed Race.

As a break from the traditional pride parade, teams decorated their respective bed on wheels. Once they showed the judges their hard work, each team raced down the street to compete for the fastest time.

“This is our parade with a little drama and suspense because anything can happen and it does and the rest of the day is music acts,” said city communications manager Chris Parman.

Organizers said it is the first official LGBT pride event in California this year. On Sunday. people are invited to join in on Easter brunch. For more information, click here.
