Motorcyclist dies from injuries in La Quinta crash
A La Quinta man died after suffering critical injuries in a traffic collision at the intersection of Jefferson Street and Avenue 52 Saturday.
Ernesto Magallon, 33, died after being transported by helicopter to an area hospital. The collision was reported at 3:14 p.m.
Two CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department engines responded to the scene.
The collision involved one vehicle and one motorcycle. Firefighters found Magallon in the roadway, according to April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area during the crash investigation and clean-up.
