Riverside County gas prices spike to highest average since August of 2015
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose four-tenths of a cent today to $3.534, its highest amount since Aug. 27, 2015.
The average price has increased seven of the past eight days, rising 3.2 cents, including three-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3 cents more than one week ago, 14 cents higher than one month ago and 53.8 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 46.1 cents since the start of the year.
The average price rose five consecutive days, was unchanged on Monday and resumed increasing on Tuesday.
