One man hospitalized in serious condition after Cathedral City shooting

Police are investigating a shooting which was reported at approximately 2:00 a.m. this morning on the 32000 block of Cathedral Canyon Drive in Cathedral City. According to investigators, the shooting was sparked by an argument between two groups of men.

During the argument, one man was shot in the upper torso. He was rushed to the hospital and is in serious condition. The gunmen fled the scene. CCPD has not released a description of the gunman at this time.

According to CCPD, the victim and the witnesses are not cooperating with investigators and are providing “little information.”
