Riverside County gas prices continue to rise at startling rate
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose 1.2 cents today to $3.642, its highest amount since Aug. 22, 2015.
The average price has risen 14 of the past 16 days, increasing 8.1 cents, including nine-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 3.6 cents more than one week ago, 14 cents higher than one month ago and 68.6 cents greater than one year ago. It has risen 56.9 cents since the start of the year.
