One injured in crash near Thousand Palms
One person suffered moderate injuries Saturday when a vehicle veered 50 feet off the road in an area east of Thousand Palms.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported at 10:43 a.m. near Washington Street and Ramon Road in an unpopulated stretch of desert within the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, according to a CHP incident report. There was no word on what caused the crash.
