Green III wins D-3 CIF Championship, Soto first Shadow Hills female to advance

15-local athletes competed in Saturday’s CIF Final track meet and two ended up advancing on to the Master’s Meet in El Camino. Cathedral City’s James Green III won the D-3 long jump and finished 12th overall between the four divisions to move on (Top-12 advance) while Shadow Hills discus tosser Victoria Soto became the first female Knight to make Masters finishing 5th in D-2, 9th overall.
