Indio fire causes $65,000.00 in damage

Firefighters extinguished an Indio business fire early Tuesday morning.

CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters were called to a second alarm commercial structure fire along the 83500 Block of Indio Boulevard at 11:27 p.m. Monday night.

The first arriving engine company reported finding a dumpster, some palm trees and the exterior of Silva’s Radiator & Air Conditioning involved in flames.

33 firefighters from 8 engine companies responded to the fire scene. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters said the fire was contained by 12:04 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Damage from the fire was estimated at $65,000.00. The Coachella Valley Raiders youth football team lost their equipment to the fire, putting their season at risk.
