Thermal vegetation fire sparked by arson of stolen vehicle

A 3.2-acre Thermal vegetation which was reported early this morning was sparked by the arson of a stolen vehicle, according to Cal Fire.

The fire was reported at 7:23 a.m. and the forward progress of the blaze was halted by 11:10 a.m.

The brush fire broke out in a field near the intersection of Highway 86 and Avenue 70.

30 firefighters and 9 fire engines were on the scene to combat the fire this morning.

No injuries were reported.
